In 2012, Kenya Hara, the former art director of Muji and the president of NDC, asked Yeongkyu Yoo ( cloudandco ) for designing the product of Arkray to keep consistent brand identity after he established renew branding + vision of Arkray headquartered in Kyoto Japan. Therefore Yeongkyu Yoo designed functional yet simple product design with new UI design language as well as improving the finishing quality of the product based on Kenya Hara's brand vision.
2012년, 하라켄야(전,무인양품 아트디렉터,NDC대표)는 아크레이(일본/교토)의 브랜드 이미지를 높히고, 디자인 일관성을 위해 그가 진행하고있는 리브랜딩에 따른 제품디자인을 유영규(cloudandco)에 의뢰했다. 전체적 비쥬얼언어의 일관성을 최대한 유지하면서 기존 제품디자인 언어를 최대한 기능적이면서 절제미를 살린 새로운 아크레이의 언어 수립하였다. 그리고 글로벌마켓에 맞게 섬세한 디테일과 품위품질을 향상시켰다.
하라켄야는 좋은 디자인을 만들기 위해 하라켄야, 아크레이대표, 유영규가 직접 만나서 결정을 할수있는 결정 시스템을 만들었고, 모든 디자인변경을 디자이너의 승인을 거쳐야 진행될수 있었던것들이 기존제품에 비해 아주 향상된 디자인이 나올수 있었다고 본다.
